Playing the Sims Game

The Sims is one of the most popular PC games available. Not only is it on the PC, but it’s on many other gaming consoles as well, including the GameCube, Xbox, Nintendo DS, and Gameboy Advance. The franchise extends out to almost every popular console. It has a blatantly obvious different appearance across all the systems, which is why it appeals to so many people. When the term fan base comes into play with Sims, it is almost impossible to explain it exactly. There are so many people who enjoy the realism and simulation the Sim games provide, including children, teens, and even adults. That is the greatest aspect of the Sims franchise, is that it can appeal to a wide range of people.

Playing the Sims game varies on the system you’re playing on. On the PC, the game doesn’t have a single player story mode. The PC version only has the option to build your own house, and people, pets, etc. The consoles on the other hand, expand on that with new game modes. There are story modes, where you have to achieve certain things with your Sim character, such as getting job promotions, or reaching a certain skill in something, or even buying some furniture. The PC users are usually content with their build mode though, as it offers unlimited hours of fun.

Of course, the Sims games must install before you can play. It’s worth the short wait though, to finally get in control. When you first start out, you have a lot. From this lot, is where you will be designing your future family and house. The house can be like a mansion, or it can be a small, comfortable home. It’s all up to the one in charge. When building a house, obviously the walls need to go up first. There’s a simple tool to create the walls of the house, to make it shaped just the way you want. Once the walls are finished, there are a number of things you could do from there. You could, paint the interior walls, or design the exterior ones. There’s a simple tool for both, to make the house’s appearance just how you imagine it. The floor and carpet would generally be next, and from there is when you can really start customizing your Sim’s lives. What would someone want in their home? Perhaps, a giant TV. Maybe, a dozen stereos. Or what about, an exotic variety of plants? There’s millions of ways to stock the house just how you want, and hopefully have your Sims enjoying themselves.

In addition to the default set of items and characters you can create, there’s also expansion packs to make playing the Sims game even more exciting and interesting. There’s a bunch of expansion packs available to be bought, and all include new things for you to customize your house or Sims with. It only enhances on the great experience you already get from playing the game. It’s definitely a classic franchise for anyone to play, that has a PC, and wants a game. Even if they don’t have a PC, a gaming system would work just as well. Just turn it on, put the disk in, and enjoy.

War Games

Playing war games is one of the more popular modern hobbies throughout the world. These games are available in practically every hobby or computer software store and come in versions that range from simple “one-on-one” themes to complex games that require many players and will often take days or even weeks to complete.
War games were first employed in 19th century Europe as instructional materials in the training of future military commanders and remained primarily an academic tool until after World War II. In the early 1960s the complexity of the world’s political and economic situation led to the expansion of war gaming to include planning for potential future conflicts. Such planning was, and still is, commonly referred to as the “what if” scenario.
Games can be separated into general categories based on genre, whether or not the game is electronic (computer-generated), the number of players involved, and its complexity.
The genre of a game is determined by the game’s relationship to reality. Reality-based games include those based on historical events such as battles (e.g. the Battle of Waterloo) or military campaigns such as the North African Campaign of World war II. Reality-based games can also involve “what if” scenarios such as what would a possible outcome of a naval confrontation in the Persian Gulf. On the other hand, non-reality genres include games that are based on science fiction, mythology, or fantasy.
Today, the majority of war games are computer-generated, meaning that all gaming activity is produced by a computer that responds to the actions of the game players. Without the speed and graphics capabilities of modern home computers, “single-combat” games (where the game player represents a character that engages “enemies” that are created by the computer program) would be impossible. Many of the older war games are “board games,” where the game is played on a game board that usually resembles a map of a specific area. Such games often have complex sets of “rules” governing such variables as movements, available manpower, and resupply.
A war game’s overall complexity is reflected in the number of players that are required. As mentioned previously, many of today’s games pit a single player against a computer-generated enemy or group of enemies in what can be called “combat-based” games. In such games, the outcome of the individual is the ultimate goal of the player. Some games allow individuals to compete against one another in “single combat” situations.
More complex gaming scenarios, particularly those based on historic or potential future military engagements, practically always involve multiple players that are usually divided into “teams.” These teams act in a coordinated fashion to achieve a particular goal, usually with one team member assuming the role of “commander in chief” with others acting as his or her subordinate commanders such as generals or admirals.
In summary, although they are usually seen as recreational pastimes, playing these games can have additional benefits than those derived from simple recreation. In proper context, they can be of use in understanding the complexities lying at the root of significant historical events

Alien Carnage Online Game Review

When it comes to action, shooting and war type of games, there is nothing better than a mission to annihilate all alien forms which have taken over a spaceship. Alien battle games fuse the best of several worlds, in such applications we find the mixture of may genres which often appeal to teens and young adults. This is the same concept on which games such as DOOM were made.

In websites though, games have been designed to load faster than any other type of game, this is accomplished by using technologies which are very popular and standard in many computers, the most popular platform used is “flash” In most cases, people don’t need to upgrade their browsers or download anything else almost all browsers support flash.

Alien Carnage is a great games which can prove to be quite challenging, the game revolves around a spaceship which had all sorts of technology, it was navigating close to mars when it disappeared, for over 30 years no one ever knew what happened to it, until one day it resurfaced mysteriously. During this time, special Ops were sent to take control of the ship and land it in Mars where others would try to find out what happened to it.

The arrival of the special forces - you, the player - is quite difficult as they encounter all sorts of weird alien life forms which are heavily armed and ready to take them down, luckily though, the special op counts with a great weapon and endless ammo, other weapons include grenades and a knife, the grenades are very limited so you need to reserve them until you definitively need them. The first enemy you will encounter is a blue alien which will be shooting at you from the very first time it sees you, so you need to become fast with your keyboard arrows. Since the alien has no mercy you need to jump and dodge the “bullets” while shooting at the alien at the same time.

The first obstacle is somewhat easy to defeat, but the ones to come are harder and harder. You will later encounter a whole lot of spiders which come at you in order to devour you, some crawl the floors others the walls so you need to jump in order to hit the ones which are on the wall and then dodge and shoot at the ones which come from below. If you die at this point don’t get discouraged, you’ll get the hang of it. Once you pass the spiders the next obstacle will be another blue alien which is more aggressive than the first so you need to take him down as fast as you can, in order to find space zombies which can only be killed if you shoot them in the head! Yes, this game has it all, but compared to other online shooting games, this one can be quite difficult so take your time to learn how to maneuver around the ship and you’ll love it!

3D Reversi Online Game History and Tips

Reversi is a game which is not very intuitive at first, even when playing it against the computer it is hard to get the hang of it, if you are like most of us, the very first time you played it against the computer you lost and have no idea how all of the pieces were turning into your opponents color, if this happened to you it is important not to get discouraged since the goal is easy to understand and the procedure can be quite easy as well.

The game’s instructions, goals and tips can be as passionate as the history behind this great game. Reversi was originally invented in England by two Englishmen at the very end of the 19th century. It goes without saying that the game became very popular but the history behind it is quite artistic as well which earns it fame through a different perspective.

Reversi was actually called “Othello” which made reference to the famous Shakespearean play “Othello, the Moor of Venice” which is about a black man (Othello) who fell in love with a white woman (Desdemona) making direct reference to the color of the pieces (black & white)

The modern set of rules however was adapted using the set of rules given by people in Mito, Ibaraki, Japan during 1970s. As you see the original game has changed over time, the name and set of rules that is.

In order to win the game you have to flip the majority of your opponent’s pieces into your own, in order to do so you might want to take control from the very beginning but this can be a bad strategy since your opponent will always have a few pieces right at the middle of the board which can turn the entire game around. In 3D Reversi (Othello) you are able to see the pieces a lot better so you can take advantage of this factor in order to plan good moves.

When moving a piece you should think of several strategies in order to secure one of your pieces at the corners of the board; the corners are positions impossible to flip which can be used to turn any opponent’s piece on the edges into your own so securing this position is critical if you want to win. Another strategy is to limit your opponent’s mobility which will lead him to do an unwanted move; another more advanced strategy is called “parity” which was widely spread across Europe after being idealized in Japan during the 80’s. 3D Reversi is a game which improves your cognitive abilities and can help you elaborate strategies a lot faster, just like Chess.

Download Wii Games Online and Transfer To Your Wii

As we’ve seen over the last 2 years the Nintendo Wii has taken home entertainment systems to another level. In more recent times it has also become possible - due to the enormous popularity of the Wii - to download games to your PC, transfer to a Memory Card or DVD and play these games immediately on your Wii.

One of the barriers to the ongoing fun on the wii is definitely the price points of games. Having an online resource that allows downloading of games, ultimately allows more great games to get in the hands of even more people.

There are a number of online services appearing that will allow you to download games. As the wii is also capable of playing back Quicktime Videos, Jpeg Images and MP3 Audio tracks, many of the better services also allow you to download wii media (movies and your favorite songs) for playback.

Being able to download games is not an entirely new concept. However, many of these sites have long been shaded in the realm of trojan viruses, popup ads slow downloaders, malware and other nasty internet bugs and creatures that are best avoided at all costs.

When choosing a service to download games from, is best to ensure you do the required level of due diligence in the initial stage. As a general rule, torrent sites and sites with a large number of popups are best avoided - at all costs. The site I use is a one time subscription fee (around the price of a single wii game) for the ‘all you can eat’ concept. Allowing me to essentially download free wii games and media as I please.

For a long time I didn’t realise we all have the tools and know how to bring these games from the PC into our living room and onto the Wii. Certainly my days of playing fifty plus dollar per game are over now that the concept of gaming on demand is here.

I am an avid Wii Fan and console gaming Fan. For further Review of Wii Download Services, check out how to download wii games.

Learn To Play Online Games

How many ways are there to play games online to pass the time, let me count the ways. Just kidding! But, I do consider myself an expert at wasting time by playing online games, though I am positive I am not the only one. Like many responsible family guys I have a job. And while there are days when I get right to work and seem to be able to work through the day without any distractions. Then there are those days when I find myself searching for a way to stay home so I can play games online. I’m sure I am not alone on this one either, am I people? Look, it’s not that I am lazy, but there are days I am totally restless and need to get my mind right with an online game or three. Okay, so it’s not very productive, but there are times when a guy’s sanity needs to come first.

As I’m sure you know, there are a plethora of sites to play online games, and when you are lucky enough to find one you enjoy, you may return to this same site many times to play, so make sure you bookmark it. The way some of these online games work with your computer can be a problem for some people. Some online game sites may require you to download something in order to play their online game, and if you are on what appears to be a trustworthy site, that might not be a problem. However, if you aren’t sure about the site and you have to download software in order to play the online game, then you might want to search for the game somewhere else that you trust.

Another factor you need to consider when you want to play on online game sites is the speed of your computer. While most online games do not demand from computer what store bought games do, you still can’t hope to play online games with a relic. If you have just started your computer up, and the game loads up quickly, you probably won’t have any problems. For some unknown reason, when things on your computer will lock up all on their own or you may have trouble loading up a game that normally plays just fine, try not to panic. While this can be confusing to you, you should know it is a common problem. First, try closing down your Internet browser and then opening a new one. If that doesn’t fix the problem, you may have to reboot your computer. It’s a major pain in the butt, but it usually fixes the problem. The things we go through just to play an online game so we can relax.

Occasionally, you may run into an online game site where you have to pay to play the online game of your choice. That’s a personal choice that you will need to make. Ultimately, it will depend on the online game and how badly you want to play it. The online games that require money to play are usually pretty inexpensive, and the games they offer are usually better. Sometimes, you may find a free version to play, but the free version may only be a free trial that might not have all of the levels of the game, and is missing other components of the game. Some of the online game sites may offer yearly memberships for you to play unlimited online games. It’s not a bad deal, but make sure they have enough games that you will like to play. Maybe I’ll run into you some day when we are supposed to be working and we will play games online together.

This unique business combines social networking on the Internet, where thousands of people all over the world are game playing against each other.

What this means for you and me, is that prior to the launch on January 21st, you can quickly and easily set up your very own .biz account for free, and then all you have to do is contact as many people as you can to join your group. To sum it up, it’s like multi-level marketing on steroids!

You can think of it this way as well, once you have registered and received your complimentary account, you will notice very quickly that you have access to many other people within your account to answer any questions you have, and provide you any support you need. While you’re building your membership base, you have access to a ton of information and help to build your business successfully.

The More Members You Invite To Sign Up And Play, The More Fun You Will Have!

Now while you’re bringing members under you, you will then have an opportunity to get an invitation to play and test all the games and it gets even better, because after your invite, the following week you can invite up to three of your members to play as well. This makes a fun and friendly competition that will really give you and all your members a good understanding of this business.

Let me ask you this, How many businesses out there today give you the opportunity to sign up for a free account, and then let you test run the business before you decide to take part in it? In my opinion there are not too many companies out there that would allow you to do such a thing, and sometimes I really wonder why not? I believe it is in the company’s best interest to allow interested people to get familiar with the concept before making their final decision, don’t you think?

The launch will be taking place January 21, 2008 so you still have time to check it out, and have the opportunity to play and test all the games available. I personally got hooked on the 9 ball pool game, and my wife is crazy about fruit frenzy, and who knows, maybe you and your membership group will be soon challenging each other over your favourite game as well.

Multiplayer Games Online - The Changing Gaming Market

When I think of the online games market, I picture pale, spotty school boys sat mesmerized in front of their computer monitors for hours on end playing the latest game releases. I’m sure this preconception does ring true in many cases, especially within the hardcore, console based gaming sector.

However, there have been some noticeable changes taking place in the online gaming arena over the past few years that have certainly surprised me some what. Whereas the games console market is dominated by a majority of young males, the skill games market finds the lion share of its business coming from the 35-65 year age range, with a slight skew towards women.

Skill gaming, which often involves the playing of multiplayer games online, was once a niche sector but is now quickly gaining mass market appeal. This is mainly due to the fact that internet access, especially broadband, has now made the seeking out of online entertainment no longer an exclusively Western pastime. In addition to this, skill games are not considered to be gambling and they therefore fall outside of countries’ anti-gambling statutes; These games can therefore be enjoyed is most countries around the globe.

Another reason for the extraordinary growth of these multiplayer games online is due to their addictive nature as well as their simplicity. Skill games are browser based games played in a tournament format, with each player paying a cash entry fee to play and with a cash prize going to the winner. They are often very short games of just a few minutes in length and have just a few simple rules to learn prior to getting underway. This means that they can be enjoyed during a break time at work and it has even been suggested that they not only improve peoples’ productivity in the work place but can also reduce work related stress.

The sites that offer such games often give the player the option of either challenging a specific individual or opting for a random person on the games network to be paired up with them. These multiplayer games online really add an exciting dynamic, especially when there is a wager on the game. In a large multiplayer tournament, considerable cash prizes can be won at the end of one of these simple yet exciting games.

All these criteria have helped propel the online skill games sector in to the mainstream of online entertainment with an ever broadening mass market demographic participating. This has lead to the inclusion of people who would never have previously considered themselves to be online gamers per se.

Experts are predicting that the online skill games sector will treble in size by 2011, reaching both an ever increasing global audience as well as ever widening age range.

Love Hina SIM Online Game Review

Online games are without a doubt the best way to have some fun on the web, the kind of gaming applications we find today range from arcade, simulation, action, fighting, board, etc all the way to educational applications. While action and board continue to be the favorite types of games for young and early teens, there is yet another category which is becoming very popular due to it’s link to Asian animation productions, of course we are talking about SIM or simulation games.

SIMs are gaming applications mostly designed for late teens and young adults, they deliver the full experience when it comes to online dating simulation. These are rather complex games which can’t be completed in a few minutes like you would with arcade or action applications. Playing with SIMs will help you get better in common relationships by learning the proper order things should move along in an actual date. For instance you just can’t start dating someone you have just met!, well in real life this sometimes happen but most of the time it wouldn’t, relationships start by simple conversations, becoming friends, and after a while you can start going out with that person; this is exactly how most SIMs are designed so it is important to get acquainted with the best characteristics you should work on in order to advance as fast as possible.

Now that you understand a little bit better what SIM games are all about then it’s time to move on to the actual topic. Love Hina is a Japanese animation production which is based in a young man’s daily life (Kentaro) who lives in an apartment complex which is full of beautiful coeds whose names are: Motoko, Shinobu, Kaolla, Mutsumi, Mitsune, etc. After getting to know each and everyone of them he falls in love with Naru but not without first overcoming many obstacles.

Those of you who have watched the anime series know how things developed and also know that there are several “spicy” moments. The simulation game takes all of those factors and puts them together in a very entertaining dating game where you take on Kentaro’s problems and “happy” times. For newbies, it is recommended to watch the anime series which will give you an idea of how things work, but for those who are familiar with it you should know that there are three main characteristics you should work on, those are power intelligence and magic; each one of those attributes works well on different coeds you the more you improve your stats the better chances you will have of dating on of the next door girls.

The quality of the game is rather surprising and the town is big, so don’t think that just because it is an online game it will be quick and easy. For those Asian animation lovers “Love Hina SIM” game is a must!
